Demetri Mitchell

Demetri Mitchell (born 11 January 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Manchester United.

A fast and tricky winger who can also play as left back with an excellent eye for goal who is often described as a game changer.

Youth Career

Joined United as a schoolboy in 2013 from Fletcher Moss Rangers, the same academy where Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Marcus Rashford also started their careers.

Progressed through the youth teams, starting as a forward before moving back to left wing and then to left back.

In spring 2012 when he scored a stunning goal for Manchester United’s Under-17 side in the AEGON Future Cup despite only being an Under-15 at the time.

Was link with a season long loan move to Southampton in 2015.

Signed a new Manchester United contract in June 2016.

Travelled with the first team squad for the away trip to Arsenal in May 2017.

Named on the bench for the away game at Tottenham in May 2017.

Made his senior debut in the final game of the season as a left back, starting against Crystal Palace.


Demetri has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level.

Won 2014 Under-17 European Championship.
