Bojan Djordjic, a Serbian-born Swedish national had played 6 games for IF Brommapojkarna before moving to Manchester United in 1999 as a youth player. where he was awarded the club’s Jimmy Murphy Player of the Year Award at the age of 18.
After a series of loan moves to Sheff Wed, AGF and Red Star (where he won the league and cup double) Djordjic moved to Scotland with Rangers. However, injuries limited his chances to establish himself in the first team at Ibrox and he moved to Plymouth Argyle on at the end of the 2004–05 season.
Problems with attitude saw his contract terminated at Plymouth saw him return to Sweden with AIK where he again won the league and cup double. the following year saw AIK and Djordjic was again on the move to Videoton in Hungary before a return to England with Blackpool.
Djordjic was a picked in the Inaugural ISL International Draft, signing for Chennai.
