Colne winger Oliver Crankshaw is currently on trial at Championship side Sheffield United.
The 19 year old who started his career with Preston North End before spending a season with Ramsbottom United has scored 18 goals from the winger for Colne this season in the Evo-Stick North.
In addition to his fantastic form at Colne he has also got 10 goals in 11 games for Morecombe Development Squad and this has prompted The Blades to take a closer look at him.
Crankshaw will spend two days training with the Sheffield United Under-23’s squad as well as playing against Crewe Alexandra on Thursday 19th April.
It is understood that Sheffield United are not the only team looking at the young forward with Southport, Reading and Derby County just a few of the clubs who have been to watch him over the last few weeks.
