Takefusa Kubo (born 4 June 2001) is a Japanese footballer who plays as a forward for FC Tokyo.

Youth Career

Joined Barcelona in 2011.

Found to have violated FIFA’s international transfer policy for under-18 youths, making Kubo ineligible to play.

Returned to Japan in 2015, signing with FC Tokyo’s youth team.

Won the Under 18’s league championship aged 15 with FC Tokyo.

FC Tokyo

The youngest ever player to appear in the J. League’s first division, aged 15 years, 3 months.

Became the youngest player to score in the J.League at 15 years, 10 month in the 1-0 win over Cerezo Osaka U-23.

Signed his first professional contract in November 2017.
