Orlando Sá had a quick raise to a Portugeses international.
Orlando Sá started his career in the youth ranks at Braga, Sa loaned to lowly SC Maria da Fonte (third division), where he scored six goals. At 20 years old and his first season in the Portuguese top flight Sa scored 2 goals in 15 games and was called up to the Portugal squad after scoring a hat-trick for the under 21’s against Spain. Sa played his first game for the senior squad in a friendly with Finland, and replaced Hugo Almeida at the hour mark in an eventual 1–0 home win.
In 2009 Sá moved to league champions F.C. Porto, for an estimated fee of €3 million but a injury stopped his progression and he was loaned to Nacional the following season after only 2 league games. At the end of the 2011 season Sa joined Fulham on a free transfer scoring 1 goal against Norwich before having his contract terminated at the end of the season.
Following 2 successful seasons at AEL Limassol Sa move to the Poland with Legia Warsaw. A good 2nd season in Poland saw him score 14 goals and win the league and cup double.
Signed for English Championship side Reading on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
On 26 January 2016, Sá signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv, for an undisclosed fee following 19 games and 5 goals for Reading.
