John Cofie (born 21 January 1993) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Derry City.
Started his career at Burnley.
A rejected bid of £250,000 from Liverpool in November 2007 lead to Cofie refusing to return to training with Burnley and he joined Manchester United for £1 million at 14-years old.
Signed his first professional contract with United in 2010.

Joined Belgian side Royal Antwerp in 2012 to gain first-team experience.
Scoring three goals in 13 games for their first team
Sheffield United (loan)
Joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan deal in summer 2012.
Made his debut in the opening game of the season against Shrewsbury Town, scoring his first goal the following week against Colchester United.
Returned to United in January 2013, scoring two goals in 18 games.
Notts County (loan)
Joined Notts County on a one-month long loan deal in February 2013
Scored on his debut against Crewe Alexandra, but his deal was not extended and he returned to United in March having played seven first team games.
Released by Manchester United at the end of the 2012–13 season after failing to break into the first team.
Joined Barnsley in July 2013 on a free transfer, signing a one-year deal.
Failed to break into the first team at Oakwell and we released without making a first team appearance the following year.
Signed for Norwegian side Molde FK in August 2014.
Released in January 2015 without making a first team appearance for the club.
Returned to England and signed for Crawley Town on a one-month contract in March 2015, making one first team appearances.
Joined Wrexham on non-contract basis in November 2015 and playing two games.
Moved to AFC Telford United in the National League North in January 2016.
Scored four goals in 17 games before moving to Southport on a free transfer in June.
Joined National League North side Bradford Park Avenue on loan in November 2016 after failing to score in ten games for Southport.
Made two appearances for National League North side Chorley on a one-month deal in December 2016.
Joined Stalybridge Celtic in June 2017.
Moved to Derry City in November 2017 on a free transfer.
Eligible to play for England or Ghana at international level.
Has represented England Under-17’s, making three appearances in 2010.
