Gabriel Barbosa (born 30 August 1996) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Inter Milan as a forward. Also know as Gabigol.
Joined Santos FC’s youth setup in 2004, aged 8.
Signed a professional contract, with a €50 million buyout clause ib 2012.
Made his league debut, at only 16 years old, in a 0–0 draw against Flamengo in May 2013.
Scored his first professional goal in August 2013 against Grêmio.
Scored Santos’ 12,000th goal in a 5–1 victory against Botafogo-SP.
Agreed a new five-year deal with the club in September in 2014.
Joined Inter Milan in August 2016 for a fee of £24 million.
Scored his first goal for Inter in February 2017 as a substitute against Bologna.
Joined Benfica on a season long loan in August 2017.
Made his debut in September in a UEFA Champions League match against CSKA Moscow.
His Primeira Liga debut came as a stubstite against Boavista, scoring his first and only goal against Olhanense.
Joined former club Santos in January 2018 on a one-year loan deal.
Started his international career in November 2011 with Brazil under-15s.
Called up to the Under-20s team for the 2014 L’Alcúdia International Football Tournament, going on to be the competition’s top scorer but missed the final due to being sent off against Argentina.
Included in the 23-man squad for the 2015 South American Youth Championship in Uruguay.
Part of the host team that won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Received his first call up to the full squad in March 2016.
Made his full international debut the following May against Panama.
