Federico Valverde (born 22 July 1998) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Real Madrid.

Joined Real Madrid in July 2016 for £4.5 million, when he turned 18.
Made his debut for Real Madrid Castilla against Real Unión in August 2016.
Scored his first goal for Castilla against Albacete in December 2016.
Deportivo La Coruna (loan)
Joined Deportivo La Coruna on loan for the 2017-18 seasonin June 2017, it was stated that there is no option to buy.
Refused to accept the Deportivo La Coruña Player of the Month award as he thinks his performances in November are “not worthy of such distinction”.
Has represented Uruguay at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-18s level.
Ended the 2015 South American Under-17 Championship with seven goals in eight games.
Called up to the Uruguay squad for the 2017 Under-20 World Cup, winning the Silver Ball for 2nd best player.
Scored on his senior team debut against Paraguay in September 2017.
