Diego Lainez (born 9 June 2000) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a left winger for club América.

Youth Career

Started his career with club América.


Made his competitive debut for club América in March 2017 tagainst Santos Laguna in the Copa MX group stage.

Became one of the club’s youngest players to debut for the first team at 16 years old when he made his league debut against León three days later.

Linked with a move to Liverpool in October 2017.


Called up to the Mexico squad for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.


Brother of Mauro Laínez.
