Axel Tuanzebe (born 14 November 1997) is an English/DR Congo professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Manchester United.
Axel signed for Manchester United aged Eight.
Made nine appearances in 2013-14 and captained the Manchester United U-18 side on more than one occasion while still a schoolboy.
Given the full-time captaincy of the Under-18 side for the 2014-15 season.
Made his Under-21’s debut in their 0-1 loss against Bolton in the Manchester Senior Cup.
Named 2015 Young Player of the Year.
Scored his first goal for Under-23’s in December 2016.
Was an unused sub against Crystal Palace in November 2015 aged 17.
Made his first team debut as a substitute in a 4–0 FA Cup victory over Wigan Athletic at Old Trafford in January 2017.
Signed a new contract at Manchester United to keep him at the club until June 2020, with the option to extend for a further year in February 2017.
Made his first start at right back against Arsenal in May 2017.
Kept his first team place for the next three games also playing as a defensive midfielder.
Won the Denzil Haroun Reserve Team Player of the Year award in May 2017, making him the first player to win both the academy and reserve player of the year awards.
Made his European debut in December 2017 against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League.

Joined Championship side Aston Villa on a six month loan deal in January 2018.
Eligible to play for England or the Dominican Republic of Congo at international level.
Has represented England at Under-19 to Under-21’s level.
Called up to England Under-19’s in June 2016 and made his debut against Mexico.
Pulled out of the England Under-20’s team in May 2017 as he had a significant role to play in Manchester United’s first team.
Made his England Under-21 debut in November 2017 as a substitute in against Ukraine.
