Albian Ajeti

Albian Ajeti (born 26 February 1997) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a forward for Basel.

Youth Career

Started his career with Basel in 2005.

Won the Under-16 Swiss Champion in 2011–12 and 2012–13.

Signed his first professional contract with Basel in April 2013.

Promoted to Basel Under-21 team for the 2013–14 season and was part of the first team.


Won promotion to 1. Liga (Swiss third division) with Basel Under-21’s in 2014 and was named on the first team bench a number of times.

Made his first team debut as a substitute in March 2014 against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.

Won the 2013-14 league championship with Basel and played in final Swiss Cup as Basel were beaten 2–0 by Zürich after extra time.

Won the 2014-15 Swiss championship, the sixth time in a row for Basel.


Joined Augsburg in January 2016, signing a four-and a half year contract for €3 millions.

St. Gallen (loan)

Joined St. Gallen on loan for the 2016-17 season.

Scored ten goals in 29 matches and signed a perminent deal at the end of the season.

Return to Basel

On 2 October 2017 Basel announced that Ajeti had signed a five year contract.
