Aaron Niguez (born 26 April 1989) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Valencia, Rangers and Real Oviedo.
Started his career at Valencia.
Made his first team debut in December 2006 against A.S. Roma in the Champions League.
After starting the 2007–08 campaign on loan with second division side Xerez CD and the second half of the season with Greek side Iraklis Thessaloniki.
Scored his first goal for Iraklis in March 2008.
Joined Scottish club Rangers on a two-year loan deal, with an option to buy in August 2008.
Made his debut in the 7–1 defeat of Hamilton Academical in December.
Scored his first goal in the Scottish Cup against Forfar Athletic.
Returned to Valencia after one-year in June 2009 after playing just three league games.
Return to Valencia
Joined Celta de Vigo in August 2009 but suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Moved to Recreativo de Huelva on loan the following year and had a good season, scoring 5 goals in 28 league games.
Had his Valencia contract terminated and joined Almeria in 2011, signing a five-year contract.
Moved to Elche in June 2017 on a free transfer and won promotion to La Liga.
Made his La Liga debut in August 2013 against Rayo Vallecano, scoring his first goal against October against Athletic Bilbao.
Moved to Portugal in August 2015, signing for S.C. Braga.
Won the 2015–16 Taça de Portugal but left the club at the end of the season, playing 14 games across all competitions.
Return to Spain
In August 2016, Aarón signed a one-year contract with CD Tenerife, returning to Spain and its second division.
The following July, he agreed to a two-year deal with fellow league team Real Oviedo.
Won the Under-19’s European Championship as Spain beat Greece in the final.
Made his debut for Under-21’s in November 2008 against Portugal.
Son of José Antonio Niguez who played for Elche.
