Goal.com are reporting that Rangers 15 year old wonderkid Gilmour is moving to Chelsea in a £500,000 move.

The Scottish Under-17’s midfielder has been linked with a move to a number of top clubs including Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool but is seems like the London club have won the race for the highly-rated midfielder.

If the report is true Gilmour will move to Stamford Bridge when he turns 16 in June.

Chelsea have yet to comment regarding the deal but have a habit of buying young players from youth academies and loaning them out to other clubs.

Gilmour will be hoping to make a bigger impact than Somalian born forward Islam Feruz, the last player to move from Scotland to Chelsea when he moved from Celtic for £300,000 compensation in 2011. After five loan moves Feruz is yet to play a first team game for Chelsea of score a senior goal.

And this is exactly how Football-Wonderkids came about.
