Acres of Space

An acre is around 4,000 square meters of land.

The trem is used in football when a player receives the ball without an opposing player around them, you could say they have ‘acres of space‘.

This term would usually be used when an attacking player has the ball and you expect the player to make a pass or have a shot on goal as they have lots of time.

Used in a sentence  – He’s  in acres of space.
