Jack Harrison

Jack Harrison (born 20 November 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as midfielder for New York City.

Youth Career

Joined Man Utd aged seven but left when he was 14-years-old to move to America. Won the 2015 Gatorade National Boys' Soccer Player of the Year and Gatorade Massachusetts Soccer Player of the Year awards. Scored 24 goals and had 33 assists in three seasons at Berkshire and NEPSAC Class A champions for three straight seasons. New York City tried, and failed, to sign him as a homegrown player two weeks before the draft - he had previously played for one of their affiliates Manhattan Soccer Club.

On January 14, 2016, he was selected as the #1 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by Chicago Fire and traded to New York City for the #4 overall pick and allocation money. On joining New York City, Harrison fractured his pelvic bone and he was injured for the first three months of i NYCFC career. Made his professional debut in May 2016 a in a 0–7 loss to New York Red Bulls. Scored his first professional goal on his first start against Real Salt Lake, became the first teenage scorer for New York City.
