Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Manchester United.
An exciting prospect with fine balance and an excellent technique.
Joined United aged 7 from Fletcher Moss Rangers after rejecting Liverpool and Everton.
Was part of the U17 squad that played the AEGON Cup as a 14 year old.
Reported in 2014 that Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal were trying to sign him as a 16-year-old.
As an U16, he broke into United’s U18s in the 2013/14 season and made 17 appearances and scored four goals.
Signed a scholarship in 2014/15 season.
Played the 2014-15 season almost exclusively as a centre forward due to injuries and the squad size of Under 18s.
Scored 25 goals in 59 games for Man Utd Under 18s
Made his Under-21 debut in September 2015.
Scored 1 goals in 9 games for Man Utd Under 21s
Named on the bench vs Watford in November 2015.
Made his first team debut in Febuary 2016 against FC Midjtylland in the Europa League following Martial being injured in the warm-up. Scored twice in a 5-1 win.
Started his first Permier League game against Arsenal in Febuary 2016. Rashford scored twice and assisted the other in a 3-2 win.
In March 2016 Rashford scored the only goal in his first Manchester derby.
Finished the 2015/16 season with 8 goals in 18 games.
Named Uniteds Under 18 2015/16 player of the season.
Won the 2016 FA Cup after starting the game against Crystal Palace.
Signed a new contract with United, keeping him at the club until 2020 in May 2016.
Won the 2017 EFL Cup coming on as a sub in the final.
Won the 2016-17 Europa League trophy.
Marcus has represented England at Under-16 and Under-18 level.
Played for England in the 2012 Victory Shield.
Called up to the England U20s squad in March 2016, starting in the game against Canada.
In April 2016 there were calls for him to represent England at UEFA Euro 2016. Manchester United academy coach Nicky Butt dismissed these calls, calling them premature and possibly harmful for the player's development.
Rashford was named in Roy Hodgson's preliminary 26-man squad for Euro 2016.
On 27 May, he started against Australia at the Stadium of Light, and scored the opening goal of a 2–1 win after three minutes, becoming the youngest Englishman to score on his international debut, and the third youngest overall.
Was names in the final Squad for Euro 2016.
Scored a hat-trick on his England Under-21 debut as they thrashed Norway in a European Under-21 Championship qualifier in September 2016.
